Current reversal mode applied to a solid electrolyte oxygen sensor



Solid electrolyte sensors are capable of making rapid accurate measurements in a range of industrial measurement conditions. However over time, harsh environments or misuse may cause damage. Current Reversal Mode is a patented1 measurement technique capable of determining the  cell voltage of a solid electrolyte sensor, whilst also providing further diagnostic information in the form of the total cell resistance. When combined with the sensor temperature, this information allows an accurate interpretation of sensor performance. All EMC analysers are fitted with sophisticated On-Board Diagnostic hardware to ensure highest measurement reliability.
